Alternator with Hydralic Pump Problem:
Sometimes when my hydralic pump (gear, flaps) is running for more than a
brief period (ex, when flaps/gear are coming up on a go around), my 7.5amp
circuit breaker "FIELD" for the main alternator pops.
Is 40A typical for a IVP hydraulic pump? That's about twice the current
used by the Legacy hydraulic pump when the gear is in transit. What's your
voltage when the warning light is flashing? The warning light usually means
the bus voltage is low. What model of voltage regulator are you using?
