Like to know what the current thinking is concerning axle bolts when shimming axles .

Assuming that the axle spacers have been tapered to correct the camber and tow-in per the manual,  the mounting bolts will bend when the axles are tightened  to the tapered shims unless the holes have been reamed during the tightening process.

The question boils down to whether the holes should be reamed so the mounting bolts slide freely thru the axles or does it really matter if the bolts bend a small amount?   Hmmm - - what is a small amount?????

Appreciate some thoughts, opinions, etc.   Happy New Year     Bill Hogarty
