Bascilly, anywhere in the tail behind the baggage area bulkhead as far away from the pitch servo as possible. I have attached it to the fuseloge with a 90 degree bracket( angle could be different depending on where on the fuseloge side you place it) glued to the side. I put one above the bulkhead access panel, but it was very hard to get to for service. Just remember it's a compass that sends electronic signals, and ferrous steel or electric fields will affect it.
