When a battery is discharged the level of electrolyte drops. DO NOT add
water. ONLY add enough water to JUST cover the plates in each cell. Charge
the battery. THEN add water (normally to a level of just at or slightly
below the level of the "split ring" in the cell) while the battery is on
charge. Continue to charge the battery for another hour or two.
