It is interesting that another dual electronic ignition system, unlike LSE, allows only one controller to see MAP even thought it communicates the sensor information to the other so that the timing is adjusted accordingly.  However, when the ignition system is tested before takeoff (mag check), the RPM drops are dramatically different since dropping the secondary ignition half doesn't affect the MAP the primary sees.  Turning off the primary means that the secondary does not see any MAP and the timing/RPM drop is significant. 
 
Even though this ignition system reports timing, it was rejected because the same anomaly would occur if one ignition had to be shut down during flight.   Arrrrrghhh!
