Roger,
Lightspeed is one of the best headset companies on the market IMHO. Their
customer service is outstanding. Their older headsets (15G and 25G) are
very comfortable and have excellent noise cancellation. However, the
material they used to cover the ear seals did not hold up long and began to
fall apart. The have replaced my seals for free. Recently, however, I
ordered new ear seals through their web page priced at $20/headset. I just
received the new ear seals and they have changed the covering to a more
durable material. The only drawback of the headsets is they are quite tall
and take a lot of space above your head and if your tall (> 6 feet) and you
have thick seat cushions your head MAY hit the canopy in the Lancair 320
model.
The new generation headsets use a different ear seal material that looks
more durable. They have a great upgrade/trade-in program for existing
Lightspeed customers. I intend to upgrade at Sun-N-Fun this year. I do
suggest you try on any headset before purchase it since fit and comfort is
often a personal choice.
