Mike Salzman was kind enough to forward pictures of the induction intake on the Columbia 300 to Marv for inclusion on the website. Great news!! It is exactly what I was looking for. The next step was to contact Lancair the kit company to see if they could facilitate getting the necessary parts from the certified company for use on my ES which is nearing completion. After talking to a couple of people at the Redmond facility my hopes were dashed. It seems that Lancair the certified company will not allow their parts/components to be used on kit planes from Lancair the kit company. Go figure!! There may be sound reasons for this policy but it sure escapes me. I might be more understanding if Lancair the kit company provided a reasonable option, but as of today, none exists. We are left to our own ingenuity to buy or build something that might work. I guess this is the real (experimental) world. Seems like Lancair (kit company) is missing an opportunity. I expect there are, or will be, a lot of ES and Legacy builders facing this same problem. Sure would be nice to see a little cooperation between the two Lancair companies. Just venting my frustration.
