I put down landing flaps on the downwind abeam the numbers so there is no retrimming in the final turns or on the final approach. It makes it easier to get a good stabilized final approach. Avoid putting the base leg in too close, keep the nose down in the turns and fly the final approach like a big airplane. I have Franz AOA system installed but I am still experimenting with it. I have also found that on a go-around it is better to get the gear up ahead of the flaps. The 235 flaps are not very powerful and cause less drag than the gear. Ross W.
