When the thread on antenna ground planes went around a few years ago I was
persuaded the external copper tape method was the way to go. 3M makes a
very thin copper tape that has conductive adhesive. I applied the tape and
then one bid of glass to protect it during body work. If you do an LML
Archive search the subject was covered rather well.
