Naf,
We do that for the engine controls on our engine test stand. But I sure
would not recommend it for in flight use.

Some time ago, someone on the list provided a link to a throttle
quadrant that used electric servos rather than a push-pull cable. If
anyone remembers that, please direct me to the web page for the company.
