It's interesting that in your
photo coverage of the large fly-in at Oshkosh, once called the "EAA Fly-in"
but now bearing the hokey name of "Air Venture", the only plane shown
bearing the nomenclature "Experimental" was Cessna's NGP prototype! Usta' was
that the EAA Fly-in centered around experimental aircraft, as did the
organization once called the Experimental Aircraft Association, which now
goes under the acronym EAA. This is apparently to disassociate the organization,
in the mind of the non-flying public, with those horrid little home-made
airplanes that keep falling from the sky in droves. This EAA is a
professional organization, not something "experimental"! They've even gone so
far as divesting from their membership card the words "Experimental
Aircraft Association"; they're no longer there!
