His reasoning was you didn't want to accidentally kick on high boost in flight and flood the engine. I have high boost in red, low boost in yellow, separate switches. I've never used the low boost (knock on wood), and the high boost gets used for priming only. Kirk Hammersmith recommended using separate switches for high and low=20 boost.  His reasoning was you didn't want to accidentally kick on high=20 boost in flight and flood the engine.  I have high boost in red, low bo= ost=20 in yellow, separate switches.  I've never used the low boost (knock on=20 wood), and the high boost gets used for priming only.
