I had a Lancair supplied 60 micron filter (part no. B-4F-60) in my return line and I developed a problem durring gear testing.  The filter had no bypass and plugged up without visible dirt.  When the filter plugged up the gear stuck half way and the hand pump was also stuck.  I informed Ross at Lancair and he called me back and said to remove the filter.  They also put a message on our forum suggesting that every one remove these filters.
