Hello Mark,

I believe that your description of oxygen partial pressure is essentially correct. I am not advocating using a canula above 18 (although I have used one up to 21 without problem) I am unable, however, to find any requirement for part 91 operators to use a pressure mask above 18 as you state. Where did you find this FAA requirement? Thanks.

 fine with a cannula up to 35,000ft; another might not make it much past
 18,000ft -- the altitude at which the FAA requires one to wear a mask
 providing positive pressure.
