well, I mispoke in the last message to all of you. The
INDUCTION has been reversed on the IO-320 Lycoming engine to a forward mounted
version. I am looking for a source for an exhaust system that will
work. I bought the system from lancair and it is not fitting at
all. Would like to hear from the Lancair 320 crowd who are flying the
IO320 engine.
Tom,
Lancair should remember a company with the name "Snow" in it that was
located in Santa Paula (I think) that made the Type V (I think) exhaust for
front servo mounted 320's. They might still exist and still have the
jigs for such an exhaust. I was still able to buy one in 2002 - I just
don't remember how except I think the contact was made thru Lancair..

When I appraised the Columbia factory in 2003,
Snowline was located in that building at the Bend airport,
having previously been in the Lancair (Redmond) building in earlier
years. A review of their website, http://www.snowlinemfg.com/index.html indicates
they now have their own location at the Bend airport.
