A Cozy builder just informed me that you're supposed to use brass inserts
with the brass Nyla-flo fittings. The insert fits inside the plastic
tubing and gives the ferrule something solid to compress against.

Is this true? There weren't any in the kit, and it isn't mentioned in the
builder's manual. Will omitting the insert cause problems?
