Please post the attached for Lancair Mailing List subscribers.
In summary, we'd be pleased to invite west coast Lancair owners / builders
to the re-born Chico (CIC) California Airfest, which is going to be on Labor
Day weekend Friday eve and Saturday.
If we can get a tally of potential Lancairs, we will set aside a dedicated
display area. The Friday night dinner and dance being held right there at
the airport will be fun. And, as the brochure says, dinner will be on us for
pilots of experimental aircraft flown in and placed on display.
FYI, we plan to have a new manufactured Columbia 400 on display, as well.

Airshow Display Pilots Invited!
Chico AirFest 2006 will be held at Chico Municipal Airport on Saturday, September 2nd (Labor Day Weekend). The event is being organized by a team of people who love aviation and have professional Airshow experience.
We would like to cordially invite owners with classic, experimental, or unique aircraft to participate as an “Airshow Display Pilot”. You and your beautiful aircraft will have the best seat in the house within the static display area.
When you arrive, pilots will receive a Gift Packet that includes;
35 cent per gallon fuel discount from Northgate Aviation
Dinner vouchers for two at Preview Dinner on Friday
Lunch vouchers for two on Saturday
Free raffle ticket to enter drawing for $100 fuel giveaway
Prop Card and letter certifying your attendance
Free admission for pilots and all passengers
There is a Friday Night Preview Dinner/Dance that includes a Twilight Airshow. Join us for Live Swing Music and a gourmet catered dinner. There will also be a fun “Jet Pull” to watch. When you arrive on Friday, your gift Packet will include tickets to this Special “Preview” Event.
Saturday morning, the AirFest will be open to the public from 8AM until 4PM. The airspace will be closed Saturday for the Airshow and military flybys from 10:00-11:30AM and again from 1:00 – 2:30 PM. You can arrive or depart any time around those closure times. Check NOTAMS for CIC before you leave. The Fuel Raffle drawing will be held at Noon, Saturday.
