LANCAIR FLYIN
Saturday, July 15 is the date. It should be
doable for all, as it is between the EAA Northwest Arlington Flyin in early July
and Air Venture in late July. So hopefully everyone has set aside
that date.
This gathering will be informal and has been planned as a good excuse
to go fly for a few hours and to put off mowing the lawn until Sunday. Of
course anyone can stay the night or weekend. There is a new Marriott
Courtyard Hotel at the airport within walking distance from the FBO or they will
shuttle you to it or other hotels.
We will meet at Medford Air Service, which is the nicest, newest
FBO on the field.

Breakfast/lunch will be served from a look-a-like San Francisco street
car which has been converted to an outdoor restaurant ("Aerodiner") located at
the FBO. They have a lunch menu and will prepare a breakfast menu special
for our group for all to choose.
They will provide discounted fuel. The current airport self service
fuel price is $3.94. Medford Air indicated their discounted price
for our gathering would be at or below the self service facility,
depending upon fuel prices on the 15th.
Typical temperatures in Medford in July are morning lows of about 60 and
afternoons in the 90's. The airport is towered Class D with the
main runway, 14/32, 8,800' X 150' at 1,335 ft. The airport tower
is Lancair friendly (RV friendly too, Steve C.).
Please forward this info about the event to your Lancair friends
that are not on the LML. More details and pictures at a later
date. I will ask for a head count (courtesy to the Aerodiner) at a
later date also.
Any questions? Let me know.
I will buy breakfast/lunch for any Lancair builder/flyer from Utah (Randy
S. already owes me a lunch, so I'm safe).
