Todd:

All I know, and it’s from direct experience, is that 12 engines, and two tops, have been sold to me from CNE. That’s 84 cylinders and not one crack. In fact, I have never heard of one of these cylinders cracking, although I’m sure there has been some.  CHT problems do not exist with any straight cylinder I have installed. Just wait until you fire your Bonanza up. You will learn very quickly this was one piece of advice you should have listened to. You have one of those great Continentals that lasts 400 to 600 hours, if you’re lucky. I will give you the names of several of these owners who have them and they will all report 5 to 8 Knots more speed and no problems with cylinders.

Tell Gene to stick to his homebuilt and stop bothering me. He just cost you an hours delay in your project.  Just kidding. (Kinda)

Gentlemen

My freind Todd forwarded a post about choke to the above person who is rebuilding his A-36.

I won't give out this persons name, but he must be a good friend of Chuck Ney. He is working on a Todd's A-36 and told him to rework his cylinders. I talked Todd out of making his cylinders straight. Todd took the advise given on this list a few months ago not to do it.

For me, after being in ADA and seeing what George does, I am doing what George says.
