The kit is ordered with all the goodies, and I've been working with Lancair to design a panel. I have attached the proposed panel and parts list for your viewing pleasure (if you have nothing better to do). I'm looking for "function" rather than "fancy." From your experience, I would be interested on your commentary of the design of the panel and the equipment list, especially what I may be leaving out (what am I missing?!?) or any other considerations.=20 =20 John, I like your taste, my panel is very similar. Things to consider. GNS480 instead of one SL30. This gives you redundant GPS and precision approach capability. Good match with Sorcerer. If you are going to fly IMC, I would look at the Chelton Pro. For me, the deciding factor was....the Pro will be updated and gamma 3 capability will be available shortly, while the Chelton Sport will not be updated. What about weather, like WSI or XM? I opted for the Ryan 9900bx TCAD. Way to much money but very nice. Avidyne purchased Ryan and they have a 600 model for about $10K. The 620 is similar to the Ryan 9900bx and is still over $20K. Unless you want to plug something into the front of the audio panel I would go with the 7000B. I put IPod and phone jacks near remote headset jacks. No wires coming off the panel. None of this stuff will make the kitchen crew any happier. Oh, and in my opinion, very important....add an Angle of Attack. I am using the one from Advanced Flight Systems. Good luck!
