Gents:
I’m a new guy on the mail list. I’ve very
much enjoyed reading your posts from the sidelines. Thank you.
I will start a 5-week fast build of a IV-P in late
July. The kit is ordered with all the goodies, and I’ve been
working with Lancair to design a panel.
I only have kitchen clearance to do this once, so I would
like to get it as “right” as possible. I’ve pieced this
panel together with the help of the folks from Lancair. They are telling
me that this is now a “very regular panel” for their avionics shop.
I have attached the proposed panel and parts list for your
viewing pleasure (if you have nothing better to do). I’m
looking for “function” rather than “fancy.” You
will notice the full sized steam gages next to the glass screens (I still use
paper approach plates too!).
From your experience, I would be interested on your
commentary of the design of the panel and the equipment list, especially what I
may be leaving out (what am I missing?!?) or any other considerations.
Thanks in advance.
John Hafen
