You know we need more Lancairs flying when things like this happen:
Pat and I were flying over the Allegheny Mountains about two weeks ago when
ATC told another guy he had traffic at his 11 o'clock, "a Lincoln." I
looked at Pat quizzically and asked what a Town Car was doing up here. The
other aircraft was obviously as confused. He asked "What type of a plane is
a Lincoln?" The response from ATC was that he "didn't know, it's identifier
is LNC." Pat and I started laughing and when he caught his breath, Pat
responded, "That's me, a Lancair, LNC4." Guess this means there aren't
enough us of flying in that part of the country or we had a new guy working
the radio that day!
