The 2 pictures that I attached to Bill Hogarty's Pressurization message were taken with an Olympus D460-zoom digital camera... it's several years old now, and it only has a 1.2M-pixel CCD. Even at that, those photos were taken in medium-high quality mode (1280x960) and the original file sizes were 376k and 357k, much too large for inclusion here. After running them through IrfanView and resizing them to 640x480, I saved them with medium compression and they wound up being 18k (95% filesize reduction) and 27k (93% reduction) respectively. It took far less time to shrink them than it did to write about it, I guarantee. Additionally, to the several of you on dial-up who wrote to thank me for bringing this up, you're welcome.
