My primary use is to be able to fly off 2300' turf and arrive with the slowest safe speed under various conditions. I was shocked to notice how close to a stall one comes during the pull up after a low pass [to check the runway conditions] and turning to re enter the downwind for landing. Another benefit of this device is the aural 'gear' warning that may get your attention if not extended while otherwise distracted on short final.
