John explains his point of view with a hammer approach = (military style). Terrance also makes a readable case for an AOA. I have no military pilot experience (am envious), although I have = multiple hours in Hueys in Viet Nam. I would be considered a low time = pilot by military standards. I have flown my Lancair without the AOA, = then with the AOA. I like it. For me, I feel it helps me "one notch" = more than without it to be a better pilot. Hopefully, in the future, in = a pinch, it will give me a better advantage. I am a Technical Counselor for an EAA chapter. I speak of the "nothing = to lose by installing an AOA" with builders I am involved with. They = decide whether to install and use it.
