Frank! Unfortunately I fly out here on the Left Coast,
where it doesn't get very cold, even at altitude. The first time I ever used the
heater I was at 12,500 and the OAT was down to 4C. I pulled the knob out all the
way and got toasted immediately. I had to push the knob in most of the way and
got a nice, warm breeze blowing up my body. My oil usually runs 90C to 100C
above ambient in cruise.
