Me too. Several asked about my final engine selection. Being retired and pinching pennies in a flat land, I just ordered a Performance Engines IO-550 EXP, normally aspirated, 370 HP. I don' plan to use all that horsepower. But I will be able to get 80% of 310 HP (a legal cruise power setting for the IO-550 in Columbia) at 12,000 feet yielding about 245 knots, according to my computer. Or get 65% at about 16,000 feet which yields about 235 knots at 13 gallons per hour, a nice number when avgas is expensive. Testing will see if I am right or wrong. Fred PS the 65% fuel flow number is 50F lean of peak, also legal in Columbia IO-550 when at or below 65% of 310 HP.
