Adamson" : Kevin, The system you describe is indeed appropriate for IFR There is no issue with that. But it is not "enroute" or "approach" GPS certified. And that would need to occur to file /G. Two options are a) install a certified GPS/nav/com (430, 530, 480 or the like); b) add the freeflight 1101 GPS (this actually also gets you the precision GPS approaches). I'm just curious, if people *without* certified GPS's are filing, /A, /U, /R or other. My current plans are to just put the freeflight in and be down with it..... Alan
