Actually, when I was in the Navy, they use to recommend it [Brasso] for our
plastic nameplates.  It took some elbow grease, but it did shine them up
nicely and made them smooth as glass.  If there is something *Like* it
that is specifically for Plexiglass, then I'd lean in that direction.
