I checked out the Aircraft Spruce and Specialty website listed below and I
am interested in the kit that was mentioned. What I am trying to find out,
however, is what type of materials are used in construction of a Lancair (if
it matters, the IV). A friend of mine and I are interested in building one
in the next couple of years and I think this kit may be handy to see what we
are really getting ourselves into. Any information on the materials used or
other pertinent information (builders in the Philadelphia, PA area) would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.

[First thing you ought to do if you're thinking about building a Lancair,
Scott, would be to contact the factory and ask them for an info pack.
You will find tons of answers in there and establish a firm ground from
which to make further inquiries. Stop by the Lancair website as well,
as there is a pretty good rundown of their product line and what they're
all about there. The Lancair URL is http://www.lancair.com. As for
builders in the Philly area, you might want to go to the Builders' List
and search on PA. You'll find all of the builders out there who have
registered in your state. The Builders' List is accessible from the
LML website. <Marv> ]
