Great idea Paul! My 1944 Grumman Widgeon had two elevator trim tabs, one on each side...one went to the cockpit control (a crank handle, connected to a cable, to a chain, turning a gear that operated a cable that went into the elevator, which turned a jackscrew that operated the tab) and the other trim tab was connected with a cable (and a return spring) to the flaps. Worked great! Lots to learn from the old guys! John
