Subject: Low Fuel Pressure-faulty fuel selector

I finally discoovered the cause  of my intermittent low fuel pressure indications. The linkage between the shut of handle and the valve were worn to the extent that when fuel was selected on with the cockpit selecotr handle the fuel  valve itself  was not fully open. A LAME friend advises that the one fitted to my aircraft is a terrible design and very "home made".

What sort of fuel shut off have people installed in their 320? Is the standard Lancair issue good enough? Where is this mounted? I have a selector on the passenger side linked by a mechanical arm to the valve on the back of the firewall. It is this "remote" linkage that has caused the problem.
