The idea that mags are better at (insert your performance characteristic of choice here) than properly installed eIectronic ignition is a provocative proposition. Wrong, but provocative. Now, there is always room for some odd/unusual installation that may arise where by design, the electronic ignition is inappropriate, but I suspect they are very limited indeed. One must always consider the source. If advice was received from the engine shop that e-ignition is no good, I'd be very hesistant to trust this Lycosaurous Technician to properly install and adjust anything electronic ignition system.
