The slider rails are on the sides so the bottom of the seat is close to zero above the mounting surface. They are nice, with reclining mechanisms. I think they are tested to 26Gs. They also slide out of the plane with very little effort, a real plus if you've ever struggled to get the bolts out of the standard seat bottoms.
