Got a call from Lancair with great news:  I'll have a place to park. Actually that is a place to park my butt - the new seats are shipping!   The seats went through a final design tweak and the bottoms are now flexible stainless steel.  They should ship to builders in the order of ordering.  Mine are due out in a week or so.
