Colyn Case - 900 total - SEL/IFR - clear nights only.
I live in a mountainous area so I either fly high enough to glide to an airport or in conditions clear and light enough to find a field.
I'll fly night or IFR but not both so far.
This is in my cessna. When I get the IVP flying I'm not sure how keen I will be about night flying. "landing" off field in a composite
at 80+ knots has got to be more "unpleasant" than doing it at 50 knots in an aluminum one. The difference is even greater with a
little headwind.
A IVP blatantly violates the 61 knot rule - that, say, a TBM700 has to live with.
