I use a deer whistle mounted on my cowling top like a hood ornament to keep the deerflies from becoming speed sapping residue when racing at very low altitudes.
 
Deep Woods Off is smeared just on the stagnation area for smaller, more irritating bugs as this avoidance system keeps the Kamikaze inclined separated just far enough apart that their earthly remains do not destroy laminar flow.
 
I also have a swan decoy roosted on the passenger seat back to make any Canadian Geese think twice before getting close and really messing things up.
 
The force field anti-molecular device is almost fully developed - if only I can reduce the power enough to do away with the tin foil lining under my Lancair baseball cap.
