Rob, the thermal mass is decreased but the radiant heat surface area is
increased. My intuition is that the overall heat rejection is improved
with holes. I hear people complaining about warped rotors on the IV-P and if
this is true then the rotors are getting hot. I raced a Triumph TR4 (big
lizard era) with solid rotors and the rotors would get so hot and
warped, the rotors would knock the pads back. The 1st full push on the
brake pedal after a straightaway would not produce any braking at all.
