John, I am very clear on a number of former Lancair employees who now
provide Builder Assist around the US who gained their work experience
with Lancair.  I also have the utmost respect for the exceptional
program instituted and now in place by Joe Bartels to provide Factory
 Assistance at Redmond, OR.

I know of no such quality Builder Assist program in connection with ex
VAN's employees or a similar Factory Assistance Program at Aurora. I
have personally witnessed Van's strong opinion that it should be built
by the builder in their own home. I have numerous friends who have
contracted out the intended program to third parties outside the
purchaser's home or even home city and at airports.

Can you expound offline?  This issue, if passed could have unintended
consequence to builders everywhere.  The caliber of kits and the quality
of components available to experimental category aircraft has been an
indirect result of this myopic avoidance of the growth of the swine.
