This airplane sounds very nice. But I repeat my earlier note: If it has, as
someone here has reported, "landing gear just like the Glasair III" then
Lancair has taken a very large step backward!!! The gear on the Gl*&%%# III
doesn't have positive mechanical down-locks (like overcenter links) but
relies instead on hydro pressure to effect the lock. The results are, at
times, quite nasty.

The fellow that had the hangar next to me in So. Cal. (Torrance) had his
collapse while turning off the runway one morning on a hamburger run - quite
an expensive Big Mac for the lack of good engineering.

One can only hope that Lance's new plane has gear that only looks like the
GIII's and doesn't work like it.
