Thanks for the thoughtful response. Unfortunately, this airport seems to
have covered themselves pretty well.
1. They use the term "suitably occupied". I don't know what that means,
but I suspect it means about anything they want it too. I also don't want
to get in an argument with them. It's amazing how easily airplanes can get
"hangar rash". I already got someone mad at me by going over a few heads
when no-one returned my phone calls about my 1.5 year wait list. I know
they put a few "friends" in hangars, even though I was #1 on the list.
2. The contract states "an exclusive lease" is required if I am not the
owner. It also states that the contract must be acceptable to the Airport
Manager.
3. I am not allowed to put my own lock on the hangar door - only their lock
is allowed, for which I am given 1 key.
I like, and will look into 1) prepaying rent, and 2) not-in-motion insurance
coverage.
