It's my understanding the forward drag link bolt is disconnected from
the NOSE GEAR STRUT. Allow the drag link to droop down and simply
bolt the gas strut end to the aft part of the drag link. Now move the
forward connect end of the drag link up to the nose strut attach point
and slip the bolt through the drag link and secure with nut.
Getting the drag link forward end up can be done with a jack or lever
or by hand pressure lifting, use with the help of a buddy. Marv's
suggestion of a jack sounds good to me.
It's covered in the build manual as well.

[Disconnecting the forward o/c link from the nose gear strut certainly
makes more sense, as I realized about 30 seconds after I hit the 'send'
button. The complete (read, longer) o/c strut assembly provides you
with more leverage on the gas strut and should be easier to reattach than
the o/c pivot bolt. Either way will work, of course, but this method is
probably easier. Thanks for keeping me honest, Jer...
