I have heard that on the earlier Lancair IV kits (mine) the push rod was located higher behind the control panel than it is on later kits. I understand there may be a bellcrank modification that prevents the pushrod from interfering with the lower stack of radios - low down and behind the panel. Can anyone enlighten me if this is a concern and whether I should be doing something to lower the torque tube to prevent interference with the back of the panel.
