Hi Greg,

Congratulations on your first flight!!  These little planes of ours are
pretty damm impressive, eh?  Climbs like a bat out of hell doesn't it?!!!!

You may well be off on your C&G calcs.   Based on my experience when I did
mine a few months ago, all three scales had a net change in weight whenever I
added anything into the plane.  In addition, the net change in weight was
equal to the weight I just added.  There has got to be a problem here
somewhere,  most probably the scales are out of wack.  I suspect that your CG
may not be as favorable as you assume them to be.

A modification that Lancair recommends highly is the longer mount upgrade.
Since you have a much lighter prop than the Hartzel, it would a another
option you may want to consider.

BTW, do you have the small tail or the MKII tail?

<<when the stick is excited.>>

Tell me exactly how you 'excite' the stick at a specific airspeed (IAS) and
I'll try it on my next flight.  I'll let you know the results.  Also, how
long is the oscilation?

Again, congratulations on your most recent achievement.  Now the REAL FUN
begins...
