Re: my earlier posting regarding control connections and setup for my
constant speed prop... The engine is an 0360 with plans to convert to
injected system.  Prop is hc-f2yr4-1f1f7068-2 constant speed.

Is MP Gauge needed?  I'm used to flying 182 with pilot control pitch.

        Thanks

[I've never seen an installation with a c/s prop that didn't use a manifold
pressure gauge, and as far as I know it is a requirement to allow for
proper power management.  When your engine is fitted with a c/s prop the MP
gauge and tachometer are used in concert to achieve desired power levels...
changes in throttle are indicated on the MP gauge, changes in pitch are
indicated on the tach.  Jens Jensen has a couple photos on the LML homepage
Attachment area (dated 10/15/98) showing his layout for these gauges which
seems to me an excellent idea... the MP gauge is mounted above the
throttle, the tach above the prop control.   This makes keeping track of
what does what a very simple task.

Hopefully someone else will come up with some details regarding your prior
request for information regarding the governor and pitch control
installation.      <Marv>   ]
