I'm with Brent!  I don't own a Darkangel system, but I came damn near to
buying one.  I was at Oshkosh last year and spent a good bit of time with
the Archangel folks.  I was somewhat disappointed that they had scrapped the
Jepps moving map and I still thought the product ought to be pretty good.  I
was about to put down a deposit but while I was negotiating with them,  I
flew with Jim Rahm in 420HP and discovered that even on a relatively calm
day the "touch N go" feature was something of a nightmare.  It was really
difficult to get your finger on the icon you  wanted and NOT somewhere you
didn't want.

Also, the horizon wasn't working (Jim told me it had never operated
correctly).  Presumably, most of these bugs are ironed out by now, but the
more I look the more I think that the display is too large for the amount of
data displayed.

My money (literally) is on SFS - the EFIS 2000 - two screens.  They'll fit
one on top of the other and still leave room for backup intruments around
the periphery.  I've put down a 50% deposit and will buy the rest as soon as
Jim Rahm irons out his reduction gear bugs.
