The tow bar is well constructed and good to use. But that locking pin bending is a darn nuisance. It has happened to me numerous times, and each time I have had to remove = the base plate to get access with pliers to get it off. The pin then requires technical impaction to straighten it. Watch out for unfamiliar helpers. Almost invariably with their = enthusiasm for going for a ride in a Lancair they want to help pull the aircraft = around and bingo! I think a better designed locking function would be great. I can think of one but can't draw for nuts. But that locking pin bending is a = darn nuisance.

It has happened to me numerous = times, and each time I have had to remove the base plate to get access with pliers = to get it off.
