It looks like the stop nut came loose and allowed it to rotate. The only problem was a gear door flapping in the breeze and loss of both the hat shapped bushing, called out as a spring alinger, and the large stop washer. I had a spare cylinder so I just used the part from it and was back in business. The problem is now I want to use my spare and it needs the aligner bushing and washer. I talked to Vern and he told me that the bushing only comes with new cylinders and he knows that some people have made there own when faced with a stiuation like mine. The washer is a non issue. My question is does anyone out there in Lancair Land have any extra bushings. If not does anyone have a suggestion for a replacement. Or finally does anyone else need the same part so I can make the trip to the machine shop worth it. Please let me know.
