IMHO, one should never trim or permanently cover anything until the last
possible moment.
In this instance, I might bolt the wings on and trim off only what's
absolutely necessary to actually bolt the wings on, and leave the final trim
for later. My fast-build had this trimming already done. I have bashed the
BL-50 rib many times and actually punctured the rib once -- I need to repair
it. It would be nice to have a little sacrificial bumper available.
