As a general rule I do not trim anything until I absolutely have to. I
have been caught too many times. The other rule is that if you feel you
have to trim leave it bigger than you figure you need it to be. Building
Lancairs is not an exact science. It is easy to cut a piece off but much
harder to put it back on!!!!!
However in this case I cannot see that you could do much harm to trim it.
I would leave it a 1/16"th proud of the rib as a "just in case provision"
for when you have to make the final clearance between the wing and the
centre section.
